Chiffon Fabrics

Chiffon Fabric
Chiffon is a light, fine thread, semi-transparent and voile-like fabric. Originally, chiffon was made from silk. Nowadays mainly polyester is used.
Why chiffon?
Chiffon is sheer, very thin and lightweight. The fine material drapes fluidly. The elegant fabric is widely used for party wear and is suitable for dresses, scarves, blouses and skirts.
What materials are similar to chiffon?
Examples of other festive fabrics include organza, taft, and crepe. The materials are easy to combine.
A heavier, non-transparent version of chiffon is bubble chiffon.
