Velour Fabric
Velour or velours comes from the French word for velvet, which is very similar. Velour is a fabric with a hairy surface. Small loops are woven during production. These pile loops are cut, loosened or roughened to form a soft surface of raised hairs. The fabric has a pile surface.
Why velour?
Velour is diverse. It is used for curtains and upholstery, among other things. Velvet is also suitable for warm, casual clothing. Because of its comfort and ease of movement, it is even used in dancewear.
